Gioia Songs Premiere

On May 5, 2004 at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, Lori was joined by poet Dana Gioia, soprano Barbara Quintiliani and baritone Lee Poulis to present her new Gioia settings. Mr. Gioia read his poems before each set of music. Seven songs were premiered -- The Apple Orchard, Being Happy, The Song (after Rilke), Pentecost, Curriculum Vitae, Becoming a Redwood, and Money.
