The NATS Convention took place from June 30 - July 4, 2006 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The theme was "New Directions in Song." Mezzo-soprano D'Anna Fortunato presented a lecture/recital entitled "American Women Composers of the 20th and 21st Century" and included two of Lori's Teasdale songs - "Jewels" and "Faults" (from "The Years"). The Mid-Atlantic Regional NATSAA Winner, soprano Danielle Talamantes, accompanied by pianist Joy Schreier, also performed Lori's songs. Danielle won first place in the competition and will be performing at Weill Recital Hall in the spring of 2007.
