Carol Kimball to Feature Lori's Music on NATS Lecture

Carol Kimball will be presenting a lecture at The NATS National Conference in Salt Lake City, UT on July 4, between 10:30 a.m. and 12 noon. The second half of this lecture, “Song Search: Finding Old and New Friends,” will focus on the music of 4 women composers: Madeleine Dring, Rebecca Clarke, Judith Cloud and Lori Laitman. Live performances will be featured for both Lori’s music and Judith’s music. Mezzo-soprano Juline Gilmore will perform Lori’s cycle The Perfected Life (Dickinson settings) as well as The Silver Swan. Soprano Eileen Strempel will perform the song I am Sitting on the Edge from Lori’s Orange Afternoon Lover (settings of Margaret Atwood).
