"The Seed of Dream" — Lori's setting of poetry by Abraham Sutzkever, commissioned by Music of Remembrance, will have three performances in early 2009.

The first will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania, on January 27, 2009 at St. Katherine's Church in Vilnius, Lithuania. Baritone Stein Skjervold from Norway, who performed the European premiere last year at The Tolerance Center in Vilnius, will present the work again, this time with cellist Tom Collingwood (UK) and pianist Sonata Zuboviene (Lithuania). Also on the program is Olivier Messiaen's "Quartet for the End of Time."

On January 31, 2009, at 2 pm, at The Good Shepherd Center in Seattle, WA, Music of Remembrance will perform the work on a concert entitled "A Vanished World." Baritone Erich Parce, cellist Page Smith and pianist Mina Miller will perform the piece. Also on the program are works by Joseph Achron, Egon Ledec and David Stock. The concert is free and open to the public.

On February 25, 2009, 7:30 pm at The Kunsthaus Muerz in Mürzzuschlag, Austria, Baritone Wolfgang Holzmair will present the Austrian premiere of the cycle along with The Jess-Trio-Wein. Also on the program are works by Hadyn and Schubert. For more information you can email kunst@kunsthaus.muerz.
