SONGFEST 2010 and NEW TRIAD FOR COLLABORATIVE ARTS

SongFest, founded by Rosemary Hyler Ritter, is an intensive summer training program for singers and pianists based in Southern California. New Triad for Collaborative Arts, founded by Arlene Shrut, is dedicated to providing classical musicians with innovative presentation skills. Thanks to a generous grant from The Sorel Organization, New Triad and Lori will join SongFest for the first time this summer. New Triad will be dedicating all master classes and coachings to Lori’s songs, culminating in a recital performance “New Voices in American Song” to be held on June 19, 2010. Lori will be composing a new piece specifically for SongFest — “The Act,” based on the poem about a husband and wife knife throwing team by H.L. Hix.  The recital program will also include a West Coast premiere of another of Lori’s cycles.
