Beloved voice teacher Barbara Hill Moore was presented by NATS with a Lifetime Achievement Award on July 6, 2026 at the NATS Convention in San Antonio, TX. Laura Claycomb, who had been Barbara’s student, asked me to write a song in honor of Barbara and together, we premiered my setting of Lucille Clifton‘s won’t you celebrate with me. I felt this poem was perfect for the occasion. The song is scored for soprano OR mezzo-soprano and piano.
