This simple song was written at the request of soprano Melissa Givens, for inclusion in the choral group Conspirare’s Songbook (a response to the Coronavirus era). The work is dedicated to Melissa Givens and Conspirare, and since the Songbook did not materialize as envisioned, the song was premiered by baritone Luc Kleiner and pianist Jennie Jung at Pomona’s Lori Laitman: A Celebration! concert on October 25, 2025 at Pomona College in California.
