In Maya and the Magic Ring, a Genie is summoned after being trapped for fifty years in an enchanted ruby ring. Required to grant little Maya three wishes, he complains that no one ever listens to his advice about keeping their wishes safe and small. Premiered with Lyric Opera of Kansas City with Luke Harnish as the Genie, on March 29, 2025 at the Midwest Trust Center at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS.
