Tell The Story is a song cycle about human decency, commissioned by Chiarina Chamber Players for baritone Randall Scarlata and pianist Efi Hackmey.
It is comprised of four songs: Words Found in the Rubble After the Last War; For Alex Pretti; To Those Who Try to Ban Books; The Last Love Poem.
The cycle was composed between January 29 – April 5, 2026 in NY, NY and Potomac, MD.

The full cycle will premiere on December 6, 2026 at St. Marks Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill in DC. Both Lori and Joseph will be in attendance.
