This is the first song of Tell The Story, a song cycle commissioned by Chiarina Chamber Players for baritone Randall Scarlata and pianist Efi Hackmey. The cycle’s theme is that of human decency.
Although this is the first song of the cycle, it was composed after the second song, between February 19-26, 2026 (with minor changes in March and April), in Potomac, MD.
The cycle will premiere on December 6, 2026 at St. Marks Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill in DC.
